Registration for the College Now technology class is now open for the Fall 2015 term!
Shout out to Juniors! The College Now Web Applications class through Queensborough Community College is now forming for the Fall 2015 term. The course meets on Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM through 11:30 AM. Tuition is free and the class takes place at Bowne. The course offers three transferable college credits. Students must complete two registration forms to be eligible. See Mr. Ojalvo or Mr. Sussman in room 124 or the link on the school website for more information.

Shout out to Sophomores and Juniors! If you would like to earn FREE college credits see Mr. Cocheo in Room 247 during periods 3, 5 or 8 to sign up for the Fall Term. You must meet eligibility requirements to be accepted into the program. Open the link to see the requirements.

Need a Place to Work on your Research Paper? The Library is Open Period "12" and on Saturdays!
The library will be open Monday-Friday during "12th" period (4:41 PM- 5:27 PM) and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM -12: 00 PM during Cycle III. Teachers/librarians will be there to assist students in the research process.

John Bowne Participates in the New York City Brain Bee
STEM Seniors Catherine Lin and Meena Manely were only questions away from the final round of this year's Brain Bee held at Columbia University. The competition is a fun and engaging way to test each candidates' knowledge of the human brain. We congratulate their hard work and look forward to next year's event. Both young ladies plan on becoming doctors. Click above for pics.
The Bridges of John Bowne High School
Students in Mr. Ly's Civil Engineering Class demonstrate their knowledge in their latest building challenge: Wooden Splint Truss Bridges. Students had to design, build and test model wooden bridges.
